pop it like it's hot.

Yeah, I know, how cliche of me not keep up with my new year's resolutions, buttttt my life has gotten a wee bit busier with the addition of a new job and everything. That's right i said NEW JOBBBBB! Say hello to the newest employee at Ann Taylor LOFT. Now there are positives and negatives to this new employment status; positives being well money, and a discount, and the fact that i actually enjoy going to work. Negatives being, uh the DISCOUNT; its safe to say that my first paycheck lasted about as long as Missoni for Target.I just need to work on my self-control..that's all. A little overwhelmed with  life at the moment with homework, internship applications, figuring out where i'm going to live next year, Amazon failing to deliver my books, and work. woof. I am happy to report that I wouldn't love it any other way! well unless all my family and friends decided to move to Manhattan, but that's a stretch.

Besides TLC Radio on Pandora, my most recent obsesssion includes White walls with pops of color in the furniture... bc you know, like Snoop Dogg said, when the pimps in the crib you gotta pop it like its hot

one day I will own this love seat.

politically genius.

Anna Wintour, being the genius she is, started a project by fashion designers in support of Obama 2012. All the pieces are fairly low  in price and accessible to anyone. I love this idea; Anna Wintour isn't the Editor in Cheif of Vogue for nothin'. Here are a few of my faves:

Marc Jacobs

Derek Lam

Monique Pean

Rachel Roy

Thakoon Panichgul (personal fave)

I can NOT wait to see what Alexander Wang does! I am seriously considering buying the Thakoon scarf or Derek Lam tote. These are collectors items and it would be something cool to keep for the rest of my life. Then I can pass them down to my kids or grand kids in like 2052, and they'll be all hot shit with their vintage 2012 Derek Lam election tote. Okay, sold myself I'm buying something.
I also find it hilarious that Republicans, who will gladly take any sum of donation from any corporation, are trying to get picky and say the products violate the rules and should not technically be seen as political donations. They're just mad they didn't think of it first. Sorry bout' it.

you can find the rest of the Runway To Win collection HERE.

Today is my third and final "first" day of classes. So far they've all gone really well and  my professors seem to be fairly normal and lovely. I'm taking 19 credits (7classes) this semester, and I'm now realizing that I just might die. I'm taking Yoga, Contemporary Retail Management, Intro to World Affairs, Fashion Marketing, Creative Fashion Presentations, English Comp, and Macroeconomics. I must admit that I am SOOSOSO excited for my Creative Fashion Presentations class, I had it last night and first of alll my prof. is ADORABLE, she reminds me of Iris Apfel. Other than that the class is perfect; it's a workshop and all semester long in class you work on your final presentation, which is either a fashion show, trunk show, or some sort of "creative fashion presentation" hence the course title. can't wait! Another thing worth mentioning  is the diversity of  the students that attend F.I.T, just in my last class there were students from Puerto Rico, Ireland, Taiwan, Israel, Canada, and all over the US, simply amazing.
I think I can speak for all New Yorkers and Nebraskans alike when I say "THANK YOU BABY JESUS FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL WEATHER" tis' truly amazing to be walking around outside in NY in January with out even a coat on. i lahve eet.

Well, I suppose it's now time for me to log off, go eat some lovely cafeteria food, and attend my first evening filled with macroeconomics. WOOF.

Ciao.
